zach-hyman

Zach Hyman was born and raised in northern California with his younger brother, Adam, by his mom and dad, Lynn and Alan.  His childhood was full of love, life, and support from friends and family. Zach always wanted to be a spaceman, which may have developed as a testament to his father, but more likely to fulfill his wild imagination.  At age seven he moved to Houston, Texas, and then relocated to Philadelphia, PA at age 14.

He was always attracted to theatre for the excitement and attention, and after graduating high school in Pennsylvania he attended North Carolina School of the Arts for Conservatory training in theater arts.  After two years Zach decided to leave school and pursue his ongoing passion for photography.

In August of 2009 his first solo exhibition titled “Decent Exposures” gained worldwide press.  Since then Zach has worked on a second and third exhibition titled “Glitterous” and “Preyground” in collaboration with Carrie Shaltz.  Work from all three exhibitoins has been displayed in group shows in New York and Los Angeles with artists including; David LaChapelle, Ryan McGinley, Herb Ritts, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Nan Goldin.

Since then Zach has been embarking on expeditions of exhibitionism overseas and in his own backyard.  His recent traveles include Israel, Mexico, India, France, and Germany. His focus is constantly shifting between the mediums of photography, sculpture, installation, and video.
