September wrap up!

Geez, October 3rd!! I hate to say the dreaded 'gee where did September go?', but alas, it's true! I have had my head down and running as fast as I can all of September.  So what was I doing? well, a very quick summary.....

first and foremost, my mom - her breast cancer diagnosis, surgery, moving out of their home into a senior retirement facility, and her husband's just been diagnosed with bone cancer.

making the last run up for my show opening this coming weekend -

a fabulous two days in the studio working with fellow artist Carole Leslie from Zendot Studio

and then of course just life!! (and there was a boat load of it!!)

So that's kind of how it all disappeared before my eyes - my mom doing well.
 
Carole Leslie - unfortunately I didn't take any pics of us working together - but if I had to describe her?, savvy, smart, talented, funny and she taught me much!!  Our time together went very very fast and it was seldom silent as we worked.  Two days I won't soon forget.

And then my show.  I took some pictures this afternoon that are more glare then anything, but I simply won't blame my friend the sun!!!  I can't believe I accomplished this show over the past year.  When I walked into the gallery today, it was a bit overwhelming to see the whole year in front of me. Here are the two best pics I took this morning.....

So that's what I have been doing!!  October is already underway and I'll be wearing my roller skates for another month!!  Hope you all had an amazing start to Fall/Spring.  Had to start the first fire last night.  I waited for as long as I could!!  Hopefully I'll be back here next week with some better pictures of the show! Until then......
